What sets our practice apart is the depth of expertise, the quality of our team, and the truly integrated approach we offer.
Our practice is led by a doctoral-level psychologist with three master’s degrees—in Counseling Psychology, Business, and Clinical Psychopharmacology—as well as a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification. This rare combination of advanced clinical training, mind-body expertise, and knowledge of both the healthcare and business landscapes allows us to approach mental health with a level of insight and strategy that’s both deep and holistic.
We take a collaborative, team-based approach to care. All of our clinicians were personally trained and mentored by our founder, meaning they’ve been through a highly selective vetting process and are held to the highest standards. Our founder continues to supervise the team, ensuring consistency, clinical excellence, and a shared vision of client-centered care.
Our practice also offers psychological testing when needed, which allows us to clarify complex or overlapping symptoms and tailor a focused treatment plan. Additionally, with our psychologist’s training in psychopharmacology, we’re able to offer informed guidance on medication and collaborate with your primary care provider to ensure your treatment—both therapeutic and medical—is cohesive and appropriate. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client receives personalized care rooted in
evidence, compassion, and whole-person wellness.
We are located at 121 N. Main St., Suite 200, Greensburg, PA 15601. Our office suite is on the second floor of the Park Building, which is a historic brick building in the heart of downtown Greensburg. There are many local shops and restaurants located nearby.
- You may enter through the front of the building, which requires that you take a few steps to access the main entrance. After you enter the building, an elevator and staircase are located on the left side of the hall, which will take you to the second floor. Once you exit the stairs or elevator, our office suite is located to the right.
- For stairless entry, you can enter through the lower floor of the building, which is accessed through the courtyard located on the right side of the building. After you enter, walk down the hall to the elevator, and select the second floor.
- Once you arrive for your first appointment, please have a seat in the waiting area by the windows.
- While you are waiting, please help yourself to coffee, tea, water, or a snack while you wait for your appointment to begin.
- We have created a welcoming and calming waiting area to promote reflection and tranquility as you wait for your appointment to begin. It is important to reflect on what you hope to gain out of each session so that we can stay focused on goal achievement.
- There is metered street parking and a metered lot located directly across from our building. Meters take quarters, dimes, or nickels, or you can download an app (meterfeeder.com) that allows you to pay for parking. Please note that parking is free after 5:00 pm
- Pay for Parking (meterfeeder.com) | Once you download the app, set up your account by putting in your license plate, vehicle type and credit or debit card for payment.
- Parking in downtown Greensburg is allowed for a maximum of two hours.

You must call our office 48 hours prior to your appointment time to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Rescheduling and cancellations less than 48 hours from your appointment time is considered a no show, as is not showing up for your appointment, and you will be solely responsible for the entire session fee. Insurance does not cover no show fees.
Clients seeking to establish with us who fail to cancel or reschedule their initial appointment at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment are also considered to be no shows. The second instance of failing to keep their initial appointment as scheduled will result in denial of entry to the practice.
After an established client has three no show appointments, the client in question may be discharged from our practice and asked to seek counseling or testing with another practice.
This is necessary to ensure that we are able to provide timely access and support for all clients.
Your insurance carrier’s phone number is on the back of your insurance card. Here are some helpful questions to ask when you call:
- Do I have mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Do I have a co-pay for in-office mental health services? If so, what is it?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Is the mental health coverage carved out to another insurance company? This is when another insurance company manages your mental health coverage. If you have a “carve out” and we are not in-network with the contracted insurer, you will not be able to use your insurance with us. Be sure to rule this out with your insurance company when you call. This information is also sometimes written on the back of your insurance card.
*It is important to note that most benefit plans reset in January, therefore your health insurance deductibles reset. This means that you will again have to meet a threshold of deductible and out-of-pocket payments.
- When scheduling your first visit, please have your insurance card available so that you can provide the name of your insurer and your insurance identification number. We can check your coverage as a courtesy. However, the amount we quote you is not a guarantee, and the final determination of payment is up to your insurance carrier.
We use SimplePractice Software, which enables us to be eco-friendly in that we are as paperless as possible. We will collect your email address when you schedule your first appointment, and you will be given access to our secure, mobile friendly Client Portal where all paperwork can be completed prior to your first visit. You will be able to upload your insurance card, electronically sign intake paperwork, and complete assessments to help us understand what brings you into therapy. The Client Portal will also allow you to send secure messages to your provider.
- If you don’t see the email to the Client Portal right away, check your junk folder.
- If you encounter any difficulties with the Client Portal, no worries, we understand
technology can be tricky. Simply give us a call at 878-884-7158, and we are happy to
navigate you through the process. - For clients who prefer not to use the electronic portal, we are happy to accommodate
you. Just let us know and paper forms can be provided in the office for signature during
the first visit, and we can make copies of your insurance card at that time.
The first session will be conducted differently than subsequent therapy visits. It is important to understand that psychotherapy often requires follow up visits, and solutions or skills training are not typically provided during the initial session.
- During the first session, be expected to be asked what brought you into therapy, how your symptoms are affecting your day-to-day functioning, and what you hope to gain as a result of psychotherapy. A family, social, educational, medical, and psychiatric history will also be gathered. Your therapist will lead the session by asking questions, so if you aren’t sure what to say, we will guide the process.
- Your therapist will also orient you to the therapeutic process by reviewing policies, limits to confidentiality, and their treatment approach. Goals and a treatment plan will be discussed towards the end of the initial session.
- You should plan to be at the initial visit for 55-60 minutes.
- Subsequent therapy visits last from 45-50 minutes in duration.
- The frequency of follow up appointments is determined on a case-by-case basis; however, the ultimate goal is to create sustainable change so that therapy sessions can be discontinued.
Scheduling an appointment is simple. Just click the “Request an Appointment” button on our website to get started. You’ll be guided to a secure portal where you can enter your information and request a date and time that works for you. Once submitted, our team will verify your insurance or payment method and then confirm your appointment. Please note that because of this verification process, we are unable to accommodate same-day appointment requests.
If you’d prefer to speak with someone directly, feel free to call our office at 878-884-7158. Our office manager will be happy to assist you by collecting your insurance details and helping you schedule your first visit.
Counseling services provided at this office are offered both in person and through telehealth. When scheduling your initial appointment, please indicate if you prefer telehealth. If you prefer to use telehealth, you will receive an email or text message with a link to the video visit. Included below are some tips to maximize the benefits of your telehealth appointment:
- If you plan on using a smartphone or tablet, you will need to download Telehealth by Simple Practice from the app store. If you are using a desktop or laptop, there is nothing to download.
- About 10 minutes before your appointment, you will receive an email or text appointment reminder with the link to join the session. The link will also be sent at the time you make the appointment. If you cannot find the link, simply call the office to request that it be resent: 878-884-7158. We are happy to help you get acclimated to this process.
- Have your device set up and ready. It is best to have your device placed on a stationery table or device holder.
- Ensure that you have reliable internet connection, and have back up communication devices, such as a phone, ready if the internet fails.
- Ensure that you are in a private, distraction-free location for the duration of the appointment.
- The use of headphones or a white noise machine can help ensure that others do not hear the session.
- If you are in your car for the session, ensure that your windows are up so that others cannot hear you. Do not operate your vehicle during the session.
- If we lose connection, we will call you to discuss a plan so that the session can be continued.
- We will never record sessions, and we ask that you do not record sessions. This is to help ensure confidentiality.
- Virtual sessions should be treated the same way as an in-office session. Just like a face-to-face appointment, your telehealth visit will be private and confidential. Your provider will always be alone in an office with four walls and closed door.
- Allow yourself some time to get comfortable with the virtual setting. If it turns out that you do not prefer virtual sessions, it is entirely valid to request in-office visits.
To get the most out of therapy, it is important to approach the process with openness, honesty, and a genuine willingness to grow. Therapy is not something that is done to you—it’s a collaborative relationship between you and your therapist, and your active participation plays a key role in how effective it will be.
Growth often begins with being open to exploring new perspectives, accepting constructive feedback, and reflecting on patterns that may be difficult to face. Sustainable change doesn’t happen overnight—it requires commitment both in and outside of the therapy room. That means taking time to reflect between sessions, applying what you’ve explored in real-life situations, and engaging with any homework or reading your therapist recommends. These tools help deepen the
work and reinforce new insights and skills.
Therapy is most powerful when you show up authentically, share honestly, and are willing to lean into the discomfort that sometimes comes with change. Your therapist is here to support and guide you, but it’s the work you do together—and the effort you bring between sessions—that truly shapes your growth.
Psychological testing can be an incredibly valuable tool in understanding what’s really going on beneath the surface when symptoms are complex, overlapping, or unclear. While therapy sessions provide important insights, formal psychological assessments offer objective data that can help clarify a diagnosis and guide treatment more effectively.
Through a combination of standardized tests, questionnaires, and clinical interviews, psychological testing evaluates a wide range of areas including mood, personality, cognitive functioning, memory, attention, and more. This comprehensive view allows us to differentiate between conditions that may look similar on the outside—like distinguishing between ADHD and anxiety, or depression and trauma-related disorders. Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective care. When we understand the full picture of how your brain is functioning, how you are processing emotions, and how your unique strengths and challenges show up in daily life, we can tailor treatment strategies that truly fit.
Psychological testing can also provide helpful documentation for accommodations at school or work, and can support collaboration with medical providers if medication is being considered. In short, psychological testing removes much of the guesswork, helping us move from uncertainty to clarity—so you can move forward with confidence in your treatment plan.
At our practice, integrative therapy means honoring the deep connection between mind and body. We recognize that mental health concerns—like anxiety, depression, or trauma—don’t just affect your thoughts and emotions; they also show up in the body. That’s why our approach weaves together cognitive, emotional, and somatic (body-based) therapies to support whole-person healing.
We help clients explore unhelpful thought patterns through approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy, while also tending to the emotional roots of distress using insight-oriented and relational methods. At the same time, we incorporate body-based tools such as breathwork, grounding exercises, movement, and nervous system regulation techniques to help process what can’t always be put into words.
By integrating the mind, heart, and body, we create space for lasting change—supporting you not just in understanding what’s going on, but in truly feeling and living differently.
