Insurance/Rates
We accepted the following insurance plans:
- Aetna
- BlueCross and BlueShield
- Cigna/Evernorth
- ComPsych
- Optum
- Peak Health
- UPMC
If you have health insurance coverage, it is possible for mental health services to be covered in full or in part. Some plans include a co-pay or that a deductible be met before mental health services are covered. It is important that you communicate accurate information to us regarding your health insurance plan to avoid being charged the session fee. It is highly recommended that
you contact your insurance carrier to verify how your plan covers mental health services.
When calling your insurance carrier, it is helpful to ask the following questions:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Do I have a co-pay for mental health services? If so, what is it?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Is the mental health coverage carved out to another insurance company? This is when an another insurance company manages your mental health coverage. If you have a “carve out” and we are not in-network with the contracted insurer, you will not be able to use your insurance with us. Be sure to rule this out with your insurance company when you call. This information is also sometimes written on the back of your insurance card.
*It is important to note that all benefit plans reset in January, therefore your health insurance deductibles reset. This means that you will again have to meet a threshold of out-of-pocket payments (deductible) before your insurance will begin to pay for your health care.

- When scheduling your first visit, please have your insurance card available so that you can provide the name of your insurer and your insurance identification number. We can check your coverage as a courtesy. However, the amount we quote you is not a guarantee, and the final determination of payment is up to your insurance carrier.
Office Policies
Appointments and Cancellations
- If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for the entire fee if cancellation is less than 24 hours.
- Cancellations and re-scheduled session will be subject to a full charge if NOT RECEIVED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time.
Service Charge
- A $10.00 service charge will be charged for any checks returned for any reason for special handling.
Fees
- Individual Therapy sessions with Dr. Boyer are $175
- Kennedy Rhodes offers therapy sessions at a reduced rate
- Alexis Witkovitz offers therapy sessions at a reduced rate
- Psychological Testing fees vary based on the referral question and length of time required
- Please note that insurance does not cover forensic psychological testing or career services
- Services are billed based on time, regardless of content or results. Estimates of time or cost per case may be requested.
