Georgiana “Georgie” Provance, LSW, brings a rare blend of clinical insight, leadership experience, and deep compassion to her work with clients. With an extensive background as both a social worker and nonprofit leader, Georgie has dedicated much of her career to supporting individuals and families navigating Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. She is especially skilled in working with caregivers, helping them manage stress, prevent burnout, and navigate the emotional complexities that often accompany caregiving roles.
Georgie is also passionate about supporting high-achieving women who find themselves chronically overfunctioning, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns of people-pleasing and self-sacrifice. She helps clients identify relational patterns related to fawning, perfectionism, and difficulty setting boundaries while empowering them to reconnect with their own needs, voice, and sense of self. Her approach is warm, insightful, and empowering, creating a space where clients feel deeply understood while also challenged toward meaningful growth.
Georgie also incorporates creative and experiential approaches into therapy, including Sand Tray Therapy techniques, which she has received training in and continues to explore through ongoing learning and clinical supervision. She thoughtfully integrates these approaches to help clients process emotions, relationships, and internal experiences in ways that may feel more accessible than traditional talk therapy alone.
Clients often describe Georgie as approachable, genuine, calming, and deeply attuned. She brings authenticity, wisdom, and practical support into the therapy room, helping individuals move from survival and overextension toward greater balance, empowerment, and emotional well-being.
