Helping high-achieving professionals, healthcare providers, leaders, and individuals move beyond anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout through insight, mindfulness, neuroscience, and practical strategies for lasting change.
Therapy Philosophy:
Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together. You may appear successful on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, self-doubt, difficult relationships, or a life that no longer feels aligned with who you are. Others come to therapy during times of transition, grief, or uncertainty, feeling overwhelmed by emotions they cannot seem to make sense of on their own.
Dr. Krista Boyer believes meaningful change begins with understanding yourself, not criticizing yourself. Rather than simply helping clients reduce symptoms, she helps them recognize the patterns that have shaped their lives, develop greater self-awareness, and build the confidence to respond differently.
Her therapeutic approach blends psychodynamic insight, mindfulness, somatic interventions, self-compassion, and evidence-based strategies to help clients move beyond survival mode. She believes our emotions are not obstacles to overcome. They are important sources of information that can guide healing and personal growth. Together, you will learn how to approach difficult emotions with curiosity rather than avoidance, allowing them to become catalysts for meaningful and lasting change.
Dr. Boyer also believes that understanding why we think, feel, and react the way we do is empowering. She frequently helps clients understand the neurobiology behind anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, stress, and nervous system responses so their experiences feel less confusing and more manageable. By combining this understanding with mindfulness, body-based techniques, and practical coping strategies, clients develop the confidence to respond intentionally instead of reacting automatically.
One of Dr. Boyer’s greatest strengths is helping clients recognize strengths they can no longer see in themselves. Therapy is collaborative, practical, and deeply reflective, providing both insight and concrete strategies that help clients create meaningful, sustainable change.
Dr. Boyer does not believe therapy should create dependence. Her goal is to help clients develop the insight, skills, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges long after therapy has ended.
You May be a Good Fit if You:
- Feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, perfectionism, burnout, or self-doubt.
- Have achieved success but still struggle with feeling “not enough.”
- Find yourself repeating unhealthy relationship patterns or putting everyone else’s needs before your own.
- Are navigating a major life transition, career change, relationship challenge, or grief.
- Feel disconnected from yourself or uncertain about your next chapter.
Want to better understand yourself rather than simply manage symptoms. - Appreciate learning the science behind your emotions and understanding how your nervous system influences your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.
- Are looking for practical tools you can immediately apply outside of therapy.
- Want to incorporate mindfulness, self-compassion, and body-based techniques to better regulate stress and emotions.
- Value a therapist who will compassionately challenge you while helping you recognize strengths you may have forgotten you possess.
- Are interested in therapy that combines deep insight with practical, evidence-based strategies for lasting change.
