Alexis is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges through compassionate and evidence-based care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2018 and her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in 2023. At Authentic Perspectives, Alexis is supervised by Dr. Krista Boyer and works under the guidance of a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Alexis provides outpatient mental health sessions both virtually and in-office, offering a flexible approach to meet clients’ needs. Additionally, she facilitates wellness-based workshops and provides supervision to interns, contributing to the growth and development of future mental health professionals.
As a recent graduate, Alexis brings training that reflects the most current research and evidence-based treatments. Her calm presence and bright energy foster a safe and supportive environment for her clients. In addition to individual therapy, Alexis facilitates group therapy sessions focused on mindfulness, chronic illnesses, and grief and loss, addressing a wide range of client needs.
Alexis’s therapeutic approach is deeply respectful of cultural values and individual life experiences. She integrates mindfulness-based practices, person-centered therapy, and existential ideologies to support her clients in exploring meaning, fostering self-awareness, and achieving growth. With specialized training in somatic therapies, Alexis incorporates mind-body techniques to help clients process emotions, reduce stress, and build resilience.
