Kennedy is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting her clients through both virtual and in-office individual counseling sessions. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2018 and her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in 2022. Kennedy is currently supervised by Dr. Krista Boyer at Authentic Perspectives and also works under the guidance of a Licensed Professional Counselor.
As a recent graduate, Kennedy enters the field with training rooted in the most current research and evidence-based practices. She brings a fresh perspective, optimism, and enthusiasm to her work, ensuring her clients feel supported and understood. Beyond individual counseling, Kennedy co-facilitates skills-based group therapy sessions, with a particular focus on self-compassion and mindfulness.
Kennedy’s therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, fostering a safe and compassionate environment where clients can explore their challenges and goals. She works with individuals aged 14 and above, addressing concerns such as stress, depression, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, and anxiety.
In addition, Kennedy has specialized training in addressing women’s mental health issues, including postpartum depression and anxiety, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and perinatal challenges. Her work in this area is supported by supervision from a perinatal mental health expert, ensuring her care is informed and competent.
Kennedy is passionate about empowering her clients to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion, helping them uncover their strengths and achieve meaningful growth.
