Alexis Witkovitz is a master’s level clinician at Authentic Perspectives. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2018 and her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in 2023. For her work at Authentic Perspectives, Alexis is supervised by Dr. Krista Boyer. Additionally, Alexis is under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor as she works towards full licensure as an LPC. She is able to provide counseling sessions to private pay clients at a reduced rate, creating opportunities and accessibility for therapy to more clients.
Due to Alexis recently completing her masters degree, she comes into the field with knowledge and training that is informed by the most current research and latest evidence-based treatments. Alexis also brings a calm presence, and bright energy to interactions with clients. Along with individual therapy, Alexis facilitates group therapy sessions focused on mindfulness, chronic illnesses, as well as grief and loss. Her therapeutic approach acknowledges individuals based on respecting and empathizing with differences in cultural values and life experiences. Her therapeutic orientation harmonizes the balance of mindfulness-based practice, person-centered therapy, and ideologies pulled from existential therapy.
